The Cranbrook Greek Theatre The Greek Theatre was built in 1916 and is one of only a handful of such theatres in the country. Detroit-based architect Marcus Burrowes designed the Greek Theatre (as well as other original Cranbrook buildings). With typical open-air theatre irony, the first performance was rained out, soaking an audience of Detroit luminaries including Henry Ford. St. Dunstan's presents a production in the Greek Theatre each June and during the summer the space is used by Cranbrook Summer Theatre School.
