The Director's Perspective

It has been five years since I first decided I wanted to direct this beautiful, humorous and touching love story.  I've loved the music from the first moment I heard it, and over time, it has held special memories for me.  However, little did I realize the enormous endeavor this show would be.  And so, my most sincere "Thanks" to all those who helped pull it together - from our committees, to friends from the community who gave of their time, to my most able assistants who punted for me so I could concentrate on the task at hand, and to a most talented and giving cast - all of whom worked far above the call of duty.  And so, we were able to find gowns that fit, size fifteen women's tap shoes and make-up tips that make men look like women and women look as beautiful as the men.  And for me it was "The Best of Times".  So now, I ask you to sit back, relax and open your eyes - for you have arrived at "La Cage Aux Folles".
