St. Dunstan's 2nd Stage

The Cast

Richard Hartle: (Harvey) Dick is a Past President and three-term Board Member.   As Harvey, we see him as the "Prince Consort," but here at St. D's, we see him as a King.   He comes to this role with experience, having played royalty in such roles as Arthur in Camelot, the title role in The King & I, and one of his favorites, Theseus in Oedipus At Colonus with The Theatre Company in Greece.  An avid golfer, he is the father of two and dedicated to his work with Non-Profit organizations.

Mary Joliffe: (Grandma/Fanny) A dedicated & notably talented member of St. Dunstan's for over forty years, Mary is a past president and has twice been on our Board of Directors.  She currently heads our Play Reading and Casting Committee.  She comes to this role with a wealth of experience, having taught and directed theater, as well as having TV and Radio experience.  Mary is in property management and serves on the Board of Sharing and Caring, a support group for Breast Cancer Survivors at Beaumont Hospital.  Like "Grandma" she enjoys gardening, but especially enjoys visiting with her children who live throughout the country.

Keith Lepard: (Grandpa/Roger) A psychiatrist, Keith works with the developmentally disabled.  He is the father of three, father-in-law to two terrific son-in-laws, grandfather of five and husband to a "great woman".  He loves to go "Birding" and has traveled to such spectacular places as the Galapagos Islands for just that passion.  Dr. Lepard brings to the stage the experience of a trained professional.  He feels so lucky to have has so many "golden moments" on the stage and we are so pleased to have him in one of those moments tonight.

Kappy Pennington: (Jane) Perfectly suited to play the role of Jane, Kappy's greatest pride and joy are her children, her family, and as you will see tonight, "Family comes first".  A Program Administrator for Christ Church Cranbrook, she enjoys the challenge it offers and the fun people with whom she works.  In getting to know this play, Kappy found that her "Ancestral Voices" come from summers in Harbor Springs, a family tradition passed down from generation to generation.  Great friends, good books, "beaching it" and sunsets complete the package, as does Kappy in this show.

Tom Peterson: (Eddie) Tom brings his talent to this production as he would to any aspect of the theatre: skillfully and well-thought out.  Husband to member Carla and father to a precocious Dalmatian named Denver, he uses his spare time to construct and fly his radio-controlled aircraft.  Tom is a member of our Lighting Committee, but tonight you will see how he really "lights up" a stage.

Directors

R. S. Raisch: This is Bob's directoral debut at St. Dunstan's, though he is no stranger to directing: he is the Director & Founder of the Fudgetime Players on Mackinac Island.  As a member of St. Dunstan's since 1955, Bob has designed some of the most beautiful sets seen here and is head of our Building Improvement Committee.  Bob is a retired Brigadier General of the United States Marine Corps and "proud Papa" to Norman & Truly, his rescued Greyhounds.  Bob resides in Lathrup Village and Mackinac Island with his lovely wife Susie and is the owner and COB of The Supersine Company.  Tonight's production is a direct result of Bob's love of the theatre; he saw this show debut in New York City and thought it would be perfect for our theatre.

Laura S. Raisch: A family affair: Her love of the theatre came from her parents as well as the exposure her Mom Susie gave her in the world of dance.  A member since 1983, Laura has been in numerous musicals and several plays.  She also contributes her time to the backstage by Producing, Costuming and Choreographing.  She is third generation at The Supersine Company and newly Vice President.  Laura is pleased to be producing and co-directing with her Dad.   143 Vice & Sunshine
